A: P90x is very flexible, but it really is aimed at people who are already reasonably fit. My younger brother recently hit 40yo and having seen the videos asked if I could go through a work out with him, with a view to his borrowing the videos later. He’s always been very competitive (far more than I am), but no joke trying to keep up with me, he ended up chucking up his guts about 20 mins into the workout (and no, he’s last eaten more than 2 hours previous).
P90X, is it good work out plan? have you used it? help!?
Q: the commercial and marketing for this product seems very convincing and it looks great. has anyone in here bought it and or tried it?. and if you have does it work?. how was your experience? I want to get into shape really bad. i would like to be in shape by next summer. is this possible for me. my schedule is wake up at 4am and go itno work at 5am and leave work around 3pm and sleep at about 8pm but i have a 7 month old daughter can anyone help me one how to balance my day with working out.. but please help me with the P90X question please?… should i buy it? or is there something better?
A: I have bought it and used it… it is basically an intensive home-based boot camp system. It comes with a diet also, which I am not using. In addition, they try to sell you protein bars (which taste ok, but are high in sugar) and a protein “recovery” drink (I don’t use it, but a friend does, and he says it helps him after the workouts). There is also additional equipment, such as the pull up bar and resistance bands.I would say that the system is for someone who has already engaged in a lot of exercise. Since I work out regularly, and also do other things at the gym (kickboxing), I haven’t actually used all of the dvd’s. I usually use the cardio based ones or the yoga one… and there are a lot of good exercises on those. It’s very convenient if you have to travel and want to exercise. However, I’m not really into building up my arms or back, so I haven’t used those dvds as much. It’s definitely effective if you like home-based workouts and will stick to it. You can build up to the exercises over time.
Does anyone know of any good recipes to work well with the P90X workout?
Q: I bought the P90X workout. I have been doing it and eating smaller portions. I would like to know what to eat when. I would like to hear recipes from someone whom has done this workout in the past or present and are seeing great results by doing so. I need quick and easy ones for breakfast lunch and dinner. Or anything you suggest i eat. Thanks 🙂
A: it comes with a nutrition guide doesn’t it?
