Can you get pregnant having sex the day after your period? (protected sex)?
Q: I haven’t done anything I’m just curious for waay in the future purposes. So if I had protected sex the day after my period will there be a slight less chance that i could get pregnant? Iv looked this up before and never got a straight answer. So could someone give me a full detailed answer? Thanks.By protected I mean using a condom. No BC*And please No smart a$$ answers. I will report you.Best answer 10 points!
A: Very unlikely. Here’s why. Your cycle is counted by cycle days. The day your period starts is cycle day #1. When your period ends you are probably on cycle day #6 (or 7). A condom physically stops sperm from entering your vagina. It is pretty effective. Even if it failed (which if you knew it failed would be a good reason to get Plan B), you wouldn’t have a super high chance of getting pregnant because it isn’t near your ovulation (usually on or about cycle day #14). Even safer than when your period ends would be a few days before it’s due again. If you ovulate on or around cycle day #14, by cycle day #16 or #17 the egg is gone. On cycle day #25 you are just days from your period and much less likely to get pregnant from a birth control failure. Plus you only have a few days to wait until your period shows up so you will be less likely to be stressed. The effectiveness information included in the condoms is for a condom being the only birth control method at any and all points in the cycle over an entire year of using only condoms. So – very low right after your period, approaching low during the middle of your cycle and returning to very low towards your next period.good luck!

Can you get pregnant one day before your period and have a normal period?
Q: I had sex with my bf one day before my period. I felt the craps that I get prior to my period and we still had intercourse. Yes, it was unprotected sex. So I want to know if it is possible to get your period either ways even if his sperm is still inside your body. Or since the egg is dead there is no way to get pregnant. I know that getting pregnant during your period is possible but this is not the situation. Unless the egg was already dead and fertilization can only occure if the other egg is in the tube. Can someone help me out here. I dunno whether to take a pregnancy test after my period.
A: if you have an average 28 day cycle you would have released an egg around day 14. conception would usually result from sex during days 11-16. after that, the egg will begin to break up & have gone too far down the tubes towards your womb for fertalisation to take place. the end of your cycle & during your periods is the most unlikely time to fall pregnant… this information is a great help to women wanting to get pregnant, but since we can & do ovulate at any time during our cycle, the calendar method is not very reliable at preventing pregnancy.in your case – having now had a period, its extermely unlikely you are pregnant. anything is possible though, bled in 3 of my 4 pregnancys, although it was never at a time when a periods was due.if the worry gets too much then take the test, it will give you peace of mind – modern tests will show a accurate result just 2 weeks after the unprotected sex.i hope this helps
