After seven amazing seasons of their wildly popular hit show “Top Chef”, Bravo launched its new series “Top Chef Just Desserts.” The first season of “Top Chef Just Desserts” was all the rage. Fans loved watching their favorite chefs battle against each other to out-bake one another. Now it seems that Bravo is looking to repeat the success of Season 1, and is set to premiere season 2 of “Top Chef Just Desserts.”
“Top Chef Just Desserts” is a reality based cooking show where 14 pastry chefs will compete in grueling cooking competitions. Their goal is to out-bake and beat out their fellow contestants to claim a prize of $100,000, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, and a showcase at the Annual Food & Wine Cayman Cookout.
The Host:
Season 2 of “Top Chef Just Desserts” will once again be hosted by Gail Simmons. Simmons’ is a trained culinary expert, a food writer, and a judge on “Top Chef.” Simmons’ is also a Project Manager for Food & Wine magazine.
The contestants:
The 14 contestants of Season 2 are comprised of seven woman and seven men that hail from all over America. These contestants are highly educated culinary experts that specialize in pastry and all things dessert. They are pastry chefs, executive pastry chefs, and some are even owners of their own shops.
Why you should watch:
As with any reality based television show, “Top Chef Just Desserts” promises an hour of action packed entertainment. Watch as the egos of the chefs work for and against them as they battle their way through the challenges, all the way to the top. As always, where there are egos and competition, there are cat fights and sabotage. It will be interesting to see who among the 14 contestants will emerge as the fan favorite and the most hated.
Season 2 of “Top Chef Just Desserts” is set to premiere on the Bravo network on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10pm EST. The contestants will battle against each other in two contests a week to see who among them will emerge as the winner of “Top Chef Just Desserts” Season 2.
