The first lip gloss any of us ever bought was most likely clear. With all the colorful and shimmery glosses that are out there, clear lip gloss looks like the lame outcast. But I assure you that this isn’t so!
There are several ways to use clear lip gloss. One of which is adding shine to lipsticks. Those classic matte lipsticks can be instantly modernized by adding a bit of clear lipgloss. It makes your lips look fuller too. Speaking of fuller lips, combining clear lip gloss with a nude colored lipstick or with a touch of foundation/concealer can make your lips look naturally full.
Clear lip gloss is also a great primer for eye shadow. Smoothing on a thin layer of clear lip gloss on your lids makes your eye shadow stick in place, and makes the color appear much bolder. It’s my personal favorite trick. You can also mix it with a bit of foundation or concealer just like the mixture for your lips. Then apply your eye shadow over it by dabbing on the color, then blending it in.
Clear lip gloss is also great for eyebrow prep. Before I apply my brow pencil, I smooth a little bit of clear lip gloss on my brows to keep them smooth and in place. Then I trace back over it with my pencil. The pencil glides over my brows much smoother, and I get compliments on my brows all the time.
