The trees, a potpourri of colors
On a crisp October day
Shades of brown, red, green and yellow
Multicolored leaves cover the ground
A white mare and her offspring
Scamper in playful jousting
A brown horse and nearby yearling
Chase tails and frolic around
The still water hole, not a ripple
Water diamonds sun-kissed and sparkling
Then a brown hen sips and watches
Young chickens scratch in the dust
Ah Autumn! a season of beauty
Crowning glory of nature’s duty
Let me etch this short ditty
In remembrance of God’s deity
