Steve Madden Cirkus Bootie

I can honestly say that the Steve Madden Cirkus is a completely unique look among a sea of different platform heel styles for women in 2011. After seeing so many different releases following this particular fashion trend, Steve Madden has pulled off practically the impossible: a hidden platform lace up bootie with a mega high heel that looks unique in and of itself. This bootie has two different versions including a suede and the Cirkus-S which is a glitter laden shoe having exactly the same design, a wonderful pick for a glitzy night on the town. The suede version of the shoe is available in Taupe, Black and Blue and has a retail price of around $160.

While this bootie style has no equal in terms of its exact looks, there are nevertheless some quite beautiful alternatives for platform lace up booties this fall:

KORS Michael Kors Divina:

Having the same basic ingredients of a lace up platform bootie style, the Divina has a gorgeous look all its own. The curves of this bootie are quite different from the Cirkus, but per my standards is no less of an excellent choice in this type of footwear. It comes in both leather and suede versions with a number of different color choices, with a retail price of around $275 for leather, $250 for suede.

Sam Edelman Rowin Bootie:

The Rowin from Sam Edelman features quite a bit more lacing and some other details such as side goring and a spike heel, yet this is another absolutely stunning choice in women’s platform lace up booties for this fall and winter. The overall look of this bootie has more of a straight up look, with leather or suede construction. There are a few different color choices including Moss Green, Black and Pecan and it has a retail price of around $200.

Type Z Novara Bootie:

Like the other platform bootie styles on this list, the Type Z Novara has the same basic style yet some distinct differences. Add on a double buckled look and a couple of inches to the shaft, plus a bit more contrast of the colors between the background and details. This version also has a side zip for easy on and off. This is a lovely bootie style and worthy of a good, long look. It comes in Black, Brown and Taupe and has a lower retail price of around $90, which is easier to handle for those ladies on a tighter budget.

If you are like me in terms of personal fashion taste, you will find the Steve Madden Cirkus bootie an irresistible style for this year, yet the remainder of the platform booties on this list are also quite fashionable each having its own individual features to set them apart from the rest.
