Review of Soy Slender Cappuccino Flavored Soy Milk

I recently decided to cut back on the amount of dairy in my diet and have been considering transitioning to a completely vegan diet. I wasn’t drinking a lot of plain skim milk but I was using it in protein shakes and smoothies as well as in hot drinks like vanilla lattes. I’d tried soy milk in the past, though, and didn’t care for it. Since I really needed an alternative to skim milk, I decided I would give it another try.

When I went to the store in search of soy milk, I discovered that it comes in various flavors, typically chocolate and vanilla, as well as plain. And then I spotted the cappuccino flavored soy milk by Soy Slender. I love coffee flavored drinks so I was intrigued, although I wasn’t convinced I would like it.

While I was shopping for soy milk, I also picked up some bottled frappuccinos from Starbucks. They have a light mocha frappuccino that I buy sometimes for a treat. I have to have the light version because the regular one has too much sugar for me. Too much sugar does not agree with me at all.

That night I decided to try the Soy Slender cappuccino flavored soy milk. I was amazed at how delicious it was! It tasted nothing like the plain soy milk I remembered trying once before. In fact, it reminded me a lot of the bottled frappuccinos I’d purchased along with the soy milk, except there was no hint of chocolate like in a mocha frappuccino.

Nutritionally speaking, the cappuccino Soy Slender is an excellent choice. One cup has 70 calories (less than in one cup of skim milk), seven grams of protein, less than one gram of sugar and only three grams of fat. But you don’t have to sacrifice taste for nutrition, because this soy milk is delicious as well as healthful.

Soy Slender cappuccino flavored soy milk is now a regular part of my diet and I don’t miss skim milk at all. I use the cappuccino Soy Slender in protein shakes, lattes and other beverages, but I enjoy it by itself, as well.
