My Pansies

Every March I get the pots,
From the shed-and that’s a lot,
Of work but I don’t mind a bit,
Every year it’s on my list.

I buy the pansies at the store,
And bring them home-I always want more.
I plant them in my garden beds,
And enjoy their pretty heads.

The pansies have such lovely faces,
And they grow in little spaces.
I plant some in big pots, too.
That is very easy to do.

The pansies grow and multiply,
They’ll be here at Easter Tide.
But by Kentucky Derby Day,
They all will have gone away.
