Back in April she gave birth to her twins Moroccan and Monroe, and now Mariah Carey is in fabulous shape after dropping more than 30 pounds.
As for how she did it, the “Always Be My Baby” songstress used the Jenny Craig weight lost system to shed some weight and get healthy.
In fact, Mariah’s weight loss was so successful that she agreed to become a new brand ambassador for the newly-renamed Jenny company.
Featured in a new ad now available for viewing, Carey shared, ‘I’m proud of how hard I worked to get my body back. I had to do this for me. As an artist, I use my voice to entertain. But, today I want to use my voice to draw attention to a serious matter. Two-thirds of the country is placing themselves at risk for heart disease and diabetes. Largely, that is due to unhealthy eating patterns and lack of physical activity.”
“I obtained a greater understanding of this when I was pregnant with my twins and dealing with my own health issues. That’s why I feel so strongly about working with Jenny and the American Heart Association to help Americans get serious about their health as it pertains to these issues which are so important.”
She’s well-known for her passion for the Christmas holiday, and Mariah Carey once again went all out in celebrating the wintertime festivities.
Offering up good tidings to her faithful followers while re-voicing her adoration of this time of year, the 41-year-old singer tweeted on Saturday (December 24), “Merry Christmas eve! The best time of the year w/out a doubt. Peace on earth and much love to all! #ILTLambs”
Not stopping there, Mimi also doted a few “gifts” unto her fans in the form of two new video clips which she posted on YouTube.
One of the offerings is a segment from the animated classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas” featuring Miss Carey singing in the background while the other clip is comprised of footage from her and Nick Cannon’s current trip to Aspen, Colorado. Mimi described the new clip by writing, “NEW VIDEO! Mimi’s Adventures in Aspen: The Sleigh Ride Drama.”
With her little bundles of joy experiencing their very first Christmas this year, Mariah gave the world an update on twins Monroe and Moroccan during a Fuse TV special.
MC was featured in a new interview titled “Mariah Carey: On The Record with Fuse,” which premiered on Christmas Day this year (December 25) at 8 p.m. ET.
Talking about the relatable nature of her babies at such a young age, Mimi said, “It’s so funny … there’s a picture of the two of us together and we look identical and we have the identical smile. I recognize the joy that’s in him. There’s something that was always free about me, it just got stifled as things grew in my career.”
Carey adds that Moroccan is very welcoming, and if one were to approach him he would “just smile and be your best friend.”
As for Moroccan’s sister, Mariah dished, “We have Miss Monroe Cannon – that’s what I call her, Miss Monroe. She’s very dainty and she holds her own bottle. She’s Miss Independent, definitely Miss Independent.”
