Have you had it happen to you yet? Have you gone on vacation, left your hotel room to go sightseeing, then come back to find out some of your things are missing? Did the maid sneak in while you were gone and steal from you? How can you prove which maid it was? That won’t happen to you on your next vacation. All you have to do is make a secret hiding place, either before you go to the hotel, or after you get there. When you make a secret hiding place from a box of Kleenex, it’ll be so normal, that the maid won’t even look at it.
Many hotels provide a box of Kleenex upon your arrival; the box is already in the bathroom. Some people before you may have opened the tissues so the box may or may not be full. Use the hotel Kleenex box, or your own Kleenex box from home, and make the secret hiding place.
One way to conceal things in a Kleenex box is to first open the side or the bottom. A rectangular Kleenex box is opened from the side; a cube-type Kleenex box is opened from the bottom. Carefully open the box so that you don’t tear the flaps. Once the box is opened, simply slide the desired objects into the box, under the stack of Kleenexes.
A better way to hide things in the Kleenex box is to, again, open the side or bottom of the box first. Find a box that will fit inside the original Kleenex box; it doesn’t have to be the same size as the Kleenex box. Place whatever you want inside the smaller box, close it, then slide that box into the Kleenex box. Just lift a few Kleenexes – or remove some, if necessary – to make room for the box.
Whether you’re using a box inside a box, or you’re just going to hide things under the stack of Kleenexes, you’ll close the side or bottom of the box to finish. Although you can use tape, hot glue works much better to conceal and put the box back in the condition it was in, originally.
Whether at home, or at a hotel, whether you’re hiding money, or a love note, you can be sure that it won’t be found. You can set the box out in plain sight and no one will think twice about it.
