Step 2 – Single crochet around the outside edge of each row. Single crochet through the double layer of crocheting along the two side edges and bottom of the pocket purse. Do not single crochet across the top of the inside of the pocket purse.

Step 3 – Cut the yarn approximately 2-inches from the crochet hook. Pull the end through the loop on the crochet hook. Weave the yarn through the last row of stitching to hide.

Step 4 – Count up six rows from the top of the purse pocket. Fold the top rounded flap down at this point.

Step 5 – Square the top flap of the pocket purse over the purse section. Slip stitch just below the rounded curve of the top flat and next to one side of the bottom strap made with the 5 single crochet stitches.

Step 6 – Chain 8 stitches. Slip stitch the row of chain to the opposite side of the bottom strap.

Step 7 – Slip stitch in the stitch directly below the last slip stitch. Chain 8 stitches. Slip stitch below the prior slip stitch of the previous row to make a band across the bottom strap. Repeat this process one more time.
