Tonight on Monday Night Raw, WWE’s COO Triple H announced that “for the foreseeable future” the stars of Smackdown will appear on Raw every week. The Super Smackdown special will feature Raw Superstars on Smackdown live Tuesday night. Does this mean that Friday Night Smackdown will follow suit as well? That question hasn’t been answered yet, but we”ll find out soon. I think the Raw Supershow was put together to generate and maintain ratings, due to the NFL being back on.
Now that the Raw and Smackdown superstars will be together on Raw every Monday, it raises many questions. Does the WWE and World Title need to be unified? Will titles like the Lightweight or Cruiserweight be brought back? Will the WWE create time for new stars or continue to push certain established stars excessively? Will the Tag Team Championships truly become relevant again? Overall, this is a great move by the WWE to have all the stars on one show. The fans have wanted this for years and were finally getting it back, well somewhat? Hopefully, this continues after the NFL season is over.
