CEO Chats Live with the Young Entrepreneur Council (Y.E.C.) And Scott Gerber

September 7th marked the first ever CEO / Y.E.C. Live Event featuring serial entrepreneur and Y.E.C. Founder Scott Gerber. Scott shared his expertise on media and PR, giving insight as to how he has been successful as the most syndicated author of youth entrepreneurship.

CEO members attended via an online video chat and were able to ask questions directly to Scott Gerber. Students who attended the conference had good things to say about Scott’s Advice. Chevon Hines of Georgia State University said, “I felt him offering the insight on starting where you are, bootstrapping, and starting off with a business that you can create and manage using the resources and capital you have available right now takes the edge and fear off the idea of some BIG Entrepreneurial endeavor and exposes students to the idea that this IS something realistic and tangible that YOU CAN DO…RIGHT NOW without complicated loans, investors, etc.” Chevon is a CEO chapter leader who founded the GSU chapter this year and has been elected to serve as a CEO Student Advisory Council Member.

Katherine McFarland of the University of Nebraska Omaha also was able to attend the event and ask Scott how to get exposure to her local CEO chapter. “It was great that he was open to questions and I really appreciate what he offered for CEO as a channel into our campus and Omaha community. The best thing Scott offered, in my opinion, was ways to channel into the UNO campus and Omaha communities,” said McFarland. Katherine is the UNO CEO Chapter President and also serves as a member of the CEO Student Advisory Council.
