Broome County’s Best Bowling Alleys

One fun and somewhat inexpensive thing to do in the greater Binghamton area is to go bowling at one of the many bowling alleys around. My personal favorite places to go are Midway Lanes in Vestal and Laurel Bowl in Binghamton. Both have great specials every day of the week, and good food and decent prices on drinks. Also both places have kid friendly bowling balls and bumpers available to help the little ones play. Both bowling alleys also offer fantastic birthday party packages for decent prices.

Midway Lanes is located on 213 North Jensen Road in Vestal, New York, and is the largest of my two favorite bowling alleys. They have specials every day of the week. Monday thru Thursday they have Quarter mania from 8pm until 11pm. During Quarter mania if you pay $5 up front you will receive 50 cent games and 50 cent shoe rentals. Fridays from 8pm until 11pm they have Teen rock and bowl which is 3 hours of unlimited bowling for $10.95 per person. Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm until 7pm they have Family rock and bowl which includes two games shoe rentals and a bowl of popcorn for your family to share for $7.95 per family member. Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm until 1am is Progressive rock and bowl which is 3 hours of unlimited bowling for $12.95 per person. And of course there is good ole’ Sundays from 8pm until midnight each Sunday where you can get games and shoe rentals for just $1.09 each. What I love most about Midway Lanes is their Arcade. They have a lot of video games available to play in case you want to take a little break from bowling while you are there.

Laurel Bowl is located at 137 Laurel Ave. in Binghamton, New York. They also have some good specials every day of the week. Mondays they have 2 hours of unlimited bowling for $6 and shoe rentals for $1. Tuesdays from 5pm until 11pm a $4 cover charge gets you 50 cent games, shoe rentals, hot dogs and sodas. Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30pm until close a $1 cover charge gets you $1 games, hot dogs and sodas and $2 shoe rentals. Fridays a $4 cover charge gets you $1 games and shoe rentals. Saturdays they have unlimited Bowling for 2 hours for $7.95 plus $1 shoe rentals. And Sundays from 3pm until close you can get three games, shoe rentals, hot dogs and soda, plus two game tokens for just $5 per person. What I like most about Laurel Bowl is they have a great location especially if you live in the city of Binghamton and do not drive, its only one block away from a bus stop and within walking distance of downtown.

I hope this information is helpful for anyone looking for the best bowling alleys in Broome County. If you are having a bowling birthday party, want a good place to take your kids over the weekend that is less expensive than skate estate, or just want to have an awesome time bowling with friends, than these two bowling alleys have what you need.
