I started writing for associated content back in 2008 and I have not been consistent with writing articles. When I am consistent with writing articles for associated content, I make more money. It is simple as that. Money can be made with writing about things that interest you. Here is a good way to get started writing. I would suggest getting a few articles published and then do the promoting part of the business after you have published five articles. The following five ideas can get you going on writing five articles:Make a list of things you like doing, are an expert at, trained in, do as a hobby, or would like to learn more about. My example list would include things like-sleep, self improvement, nursing, etc. Yes, sleep is something you can write about! Take the first thing off that list and start writing about it. If you use references don’t forget to cite them in the article. I just had an article rejected because I forgot to cite my sources. I had to go back and include the sources and resubmit the article. This costs me money because the faster your article is published, the quicker you make money! When your article gets published and you read it, don’t forget to click on the ads surrounding your article because this is what pays you. We need to pay attention to our sponsors. You can wait for upfront payments or pay for view. I do a combination of both. I would suggest doing pay for view for your first five articles or if you have been away for awhile and want to get started writing again. Seeing your articles published immediately will inspire you to go to the next item on your list. Try to list at least ten things on your list and keep adding to it as ideas pop in your mind. The idea is to keep traffic coming to your work and that traffic reading and clicking on your ads that surround your work. That is how the system works. Like a television show, the commercials pay for the show our ads on our site pay for our stories. I even write letters to my sponsors telling them when I tried a product that they advertised at my site and thanking them for placing the ad with Yahoo! Content.
Writers block comes to everyone and sometimes life gets in the way of finding time to write. The above tips will help you get started, the money coming in will encourage you to keep writing, and maybe even the thought that you may be helping someone by what you write may make it even more worthwhile.
