QUARTERBACK
13. Kevin Kolb – Ari = StL – 46% —– Kolb has been anything but what fantasy football teams expected when the season started. And with a report out that Kolb is now battling a turf toe issue, he is definitely a risky starting option for fantasy football teams in week 9 as well. However the matchup for Kolb and the Cardinals passing attack is extra potent this week against the Rams, so at just 50% owned, Kolb is a solid gamble start this week in most fantasy football lineups, as long as he is healthy and active this week.
14. Mark Sanchez – NYJ = @Buf – 59% —– Sanchez has been unspectacular to say the least, but the Buffalo Bills defense does give up their fair share of yards so far this season. Available in 40% of 10 team leagues heading into week 9, Sanchez is a solid waiver wire pickup and start QB if your normal starter is usually Cam Newton or Matthew Stafford and they are on a bye this week.
18. Matt Cassel – KC = Mia – 37% —– The Dolphins defense just is not that good, and Cassel should continue to look to his best WR Dwayne Bowe a lot in this game. Add in a revitalized Steve Breaston, and finally healthy rookie Jonathan Baldwin, and Cassel suddenly has a nice trio of receivers at his disposal this week.
19. Andy Dalton – Cin = @Ten – 36% —– Dalton just keeps playing steady and solid football, and his top target AJ Green continues to get better and better as well. Add in the fact that Dalton tallied 2 passing touchdowns in last weeks game without the likes of his safest blanket at TE Jermaine Gresham, and his starting RB Cedric Benson to keep the defense honest, a return of both of those two starters should give Dalton even more weapons to work with this week against a so-so Titans defense.
22. Alex Smith – SF = @Was – 31% —– If you want a game manager who hopefully won’t get your fantasy team too many negative points, then Smith could be your spot starting QB this week, as he will likely tally stats in the range of 150-175 passing yards and 1 touchdown …. but do not expect anything more. All in all, Smith offers a very low upside but is a somewhat safe play to get your team 10 points this week.

RUNNING BACK
19. Daniel Thomas – Mia = @KC – 64% —– Thomas missed last weeks game with a hamstring injury, and Reggie Bush definitely took full advantage and picked up the slack for the Dolphins offensive attack. However I do believe that if Thomas is healthy enough to play this week, then he should take over the starting job and receive the majority of the carries in this game.
20. Jackie Battle – KC = Mia – 57% —– Battle continues to be the Chiefs feature back and should continue his roll against the Dolphins this week as well.
24. Reggie Bush – Mia = @KC – 56% —– With Daniel Thomas out of last weeks game, Bush finally stepped up his game and racked up a respectable 103 rushing yards on just 15 carries. If Thomas misses this weeks game as well, then Bush is a solid bet to once again top 100 total yard mark in this game.
31. Brandon Jacobs – NYG = @NE – 59% —– Ahmad Bradshaw’s foot injury obviously plays the major factor in what Jacobs’ roll will be in week 9’s game, but if Bradshaw is even limited at all in this game, which it is very likely he will be, then Jacobs could easily snatch up 10-15 touches this week while also offering goal line vulture TD potential.
39. Michael Bush – Oak = Den – 51% —– After Darren McFadden suffered a sprained foot in week 7’s game, Bush easily took over and did his thing. With McFadden still no guarantee to be back and healthy in week 9, there is a very realistic possibility that Bush will rack up at least 10 touches in this game even if McFadden plays, and if McFadden doesn’t play, then Bush could easily be looking at 100 plus rushing yards and 1 touchdown this week. If McFadden is ruled out for this game, then Bush should be ranked as a top 20 RB option this week.
44. Javon Ringer – Ten = Cin – 7% —– Whether the Titans are just trying to light a fire under Chris Johnson or they really are serious about giving Ringer touches, one thing seems like a good bet in week 9, and that is that Ringer should see a good amount of touches this week. If you think the Titans are going to hand Ringer the starting RB job you would be crazy, but a time share in the Titans backfield is definitely possible over the remainder of the season.
55. Chris Ogbonnaya – Cle = @Hou – 1% —– When starter Montario Hardesty went down with a calf injury in last weeks game, Ogbonnaya was next in line at RB for the Browns. If both Peyton Hillis and Hardesty are not healthy and ready to play in week 9’s game, then Ogbonnaya should be the Browns starting RB this week.
60. Lance Ball – Den = @Oak – 1% —– The Broncos offense is a mess right now, but Ball has been relatively productive when given the opportunity to get his hands on the ball. At just 1% owned, Ball is an excellent deep league pickup option if you need a spot starter for this week.

WIDE RECEIVER
28. Malcom Floyd – SD = GB – 51% —– The Packers pass defense has been their weakness so far this season, and the Chargers passing attack is traditionally their strength. With a healthy Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd, and Antonio Gates in the lineup for the Chargers this week, the Packers secondary should be busy this week in what could be a very high scoring game between these two offenses.
32. Jerome Simpson – Cin = @Ten – 27% —– Simpson has so far stayed under the fantasy football radar this season, however he has really taken on a role as a very reliable and steady producer in the Bengals offense. With a matchup against the Titans in store for this season, Andy Dalton should continue to find Simpson roaming around in the secondary while defenses target AJ Green as the guy they want to shut down.
34. Antonio Brown – Pit = Bal – 57% —– With Hines Ward out of last weeks game, both Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders were heavily involved in the Steelers passing attack. There is little to no reason to think that trend will not continue this week as well.
35. Michael Crabtree – SF = @Was – 40% —– Finally looking healthy, Crabtree tallied Alex Smith’s only touchdown pass in last weeks game, and with a healthy Braylon Edwards on the other side at WR, the receiver position in San Francisco could finally become fantasy football worthy in the upcoming weeks.
43. Steve Breaston – KC = Mia – 40% —– Slowly but steadily becoming a reliable target for Matt Cassel. And until the Chiefs have a solid running game to utilize, it seems reasonable to assume that they will continue to air it out.
45. Darrius Heyward-Bey – Oak = Den – 53% —– Fresh off the bye, maybe he can develop a quick connection with Carson Palmer.
47. Torrey Smith – Bal = @Pit – 48% —– With Lee Evans no where to be found in Baltimore, Smith continues to put up stats as Joe Flacco’s #2 WR target behind Anquan Boldin.
48. Demaryius Thomas – Den = @Oak – 17% —– The talent is definitely their with Thomas, but Tim Tebow will need to find some accuracy before Thomas can be reliable on in any fantasy football league. In fact if the Broncos turn back to Kyle Orton, Thomas’ value could skyrocket.
50. Doug Baldwin – Sea = @Dal – 28% —– With Mike Williams injured and falling down the depth chart, Baldwin has risen to become a reliable option in the Seattle offense. If Tarvaris Jackson can stay healthy, then the potential is there for Baldwin to once again tally some decent stats this week.
61. Greg Salas – StL = @Ari – 1% —– The beneficiary of the Brandon Lloyd addition, Salas continues to work as the Rams 2nd best receiving option. With a matchup against a bad Arizona Cardinals secondary in store for this week, Salas could be looking at anything between 50-100 receiving yards, with a touchdown possible as well. Add in the fact that the QB play of either Sam Bradford or AJ Feeley really does not change his value, and Salas is an outstanding flex starting option in deep leagues this week.
62. Ben Obomanu – Sea = @Dal – 1% —– Combining a healthy Sidney Rice, speedy Doug Baldwin, and veteran Ben Obomanu in the Seahawks passing attack, Obomanu should continue to see passes his way as the WR3 option in the Seahawks offense.
74. Naaman Roosevelt – Buf = NYJ – 1% —– Yes the Jets secondary is tough, but when you consider that Stevie Johnson will have Darrell Revis on him, and David Nelson will have Antonio Cromartie on him, then Roosevelt should be the WR who has the best matchup and likely to get the most balls his way from Ryan Fitzpatrick in this game. Roosevelt is easily worth a gamble spot start this week in deep leagues.

TIGHT END
10. Dustin Keller – NYJ = @Buf – 67% —– Keller is one of those TEs who is definitely not consistent on a week to week basis, but every once in a while will bust out with 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. This week’s matchup against a weak Buffalo Bills linebacking corp could be one of those good weeks for Keller.
14. Jermaine Gresham – Cin = @Ten – 54% —– Gresham was a late scratch in last weeks game as he was injured in pre-game warmups. If he is healthy by game time this week, Gresham should continue to be a solid pass catching option for Andy Dalton in this game.
15. Jared Cook – Ten = Cin – 37% —– Cook always offers potential, but he is also always a gamble in fantasy football lineups. Pretty much your all or nothing TE play.
16. Kevin Boss – Oak = Den – 4% —– Whoever the Raiders starting QB is this week, Boss at TE should be one of the top passing targets in this game. At just 4% owned, Boss offers a nice upside to fantasy football teams in need of a spot starting TE this week.
18. Jake Ballard – NYG = @NE – 30% —– One of Eli Manning’s favorite targets this season, Ballard is proving to be a solid safety blanket and red zone option in the Giants passing game. A matchup against a weak Patriots pass defense this week, definitely makes Ballard spot starter worthy in most fantasy football lineups.
19. Heath Miller – Pit = Bal – 50% —– As the Steelers continue to pass the ball, Miller should continue to be a reliable 30-50 receiving yard option for fantasy football lineups, while also offering solid red zone scoring potential as well.
21. Scott Chandler – Buf = NYJ – 26% —– With the Bills top WRs Stevie Johnson and David Nelson having to contend with the Jets corner tandem of Darrell Revis and Antonio Cromartie, it only makes sense to believe that Chander will likely be targeted nearly a dozen times in this game. Add in his outstanding red zone presence, and Chandler offers fantasy football teams plenty of upside this week.
22. Brent Celek – Phi = Chi – 11% —– Finally showing signs of a nice report with Michael Vick. The pass catching talent is there for Celek, all he needs are some passes his way.

DEFENSE
3. Cincinnati Bengals = @Ten – 67% — The Bengals defense continues to play at a very high level, and a matchup against a reeling Tennessee Titans offense could have the Bengals once again in the top 10 scoring defenses for week 9. In other words, the Bengals defense SHOULD be starting in every 10 team or larger league in week 9. Sot if they are available in your leagues waiver wire pool, go pick them up and spot start them this week!
5. Atlanta Falcons = @Ind – 20% — The Falcons are fresh off the bye entering this weeks game, and Curtis Painter can easily tally his share of turnovers and sacks. The Falcons have a very realistic chance at being a top 10 scoring defense this week in all fantasy football leagues.
17. Kansas City Chiefs = Mia – 19% — Even though the Chiefs defense has tallied only 6 sacks this season, which is easily the worst among all defenses in the entire NFL entering week 9, a matchup at home against a weak Miami Dolphins offense should give them an opportunity to tally some turnovers in this game.
18. Oakland Raiders = Den – 17% — Assuming Tim Tebow gets the start again this week, the Raiders defense should have plenty of opportunities to create turnovers and limit the amount of points that the Broncos offense can rack up under the extremely inaccurate arm of Tebow in this game.
19. Washington Redskins = SF – 31% — The Redskins defense is nothing special, but they have been very good at getting pressure on QBs this season. A matchup against the sack happy Alex Smith could have the Redskins defense tallying 5 sacks this week, with an interception or fumble definitely within reach as well.
