Vice Mayor Roxanne Qualls when Are You Coming Back to the Black Community?

Among the clutter of campaign literature that was piled on seats at the candidates forum last week at the Avondale Pride center, was a form letter to attendees from Vice Mayor Roxanne Qualls. Qualls was not in attendance.

The letter was a far cry from many years past when Vice Mayor Qualls came to the black community and pandered to blacks by doing a fun dance called the booty call. BTW Is the brother in the video on the right Mayor Mark Mallory?

According to urbandictionary.com a booty call, is a call to a girl asking her for sex. Usually the person calling is not in a relationship with the person being called.

It’s a well known fact that some candidates think blacks are stupid enough to fall for candidates that pander to them by kissing their babies, shouting hallelujah in their churches and using black men that suffer from drug and alcohol problems to hand out their literature at the polls, in attempt to trick black people into believing that they will support their issues if elected.

There was a time that many believed Qualls understood and supported issues on council that were important to black people.

However lately Qualls is MIA. Vice Mayor Qualls or her team did not participate in the Avondale parade in August. There was no sighting of Vice Mayor Qualls at the Black Family Reunion either.

Radio hosts and callers of WDBZ thebuzzcincy.com have been reporting for some time that it does not appear that Vice Mayor Qualls is campaigning in the black community.

Since returning back to council in 2007 Qualls has been the top vote getter. In 2009 she smoked the competition.

The Cincinnati NAACP will have its annual candidate forum on September 22, 2011 at 6pm. Location Integrity Hall in Roselawn. A quick check of Vice Mayor Qualls website does not have her scheduled to appear

No appearence, no vote?
