The end has come for the Libyan dictator who many wanted to see removed from the political world. Moammar Gaddafi is dead and video footage proves it after he was killed in his hometown of Sirte. President Obama addressed the United States today, confirming his death. Muammar Gadhafi was a repelling force in his country and many wanted him to die. TMZ has footage of the dead political leader and warns it’s very graphic.
On CBS News it was learned that the details weren’t clear whether the unstable Libyan leader was actually shot by his own bodyguards before Libyan rebels captured him. It’s possible his own people gunned him down to keep opposing forces from taking him. It’s not known for sure what really took place, but he was supposedly shot in the back and chest.
At 7:30 am PST rebel fighters taped video of the Gaddafi’s dead body. He was trying to escape his captors, but lost the battle.
Gadhafi was shot in the legs, but the fatal wound was to his head in earlier reports. This brings a whole new meaning to the country of Libya as they try to restore some sort of democracy in their war-torn region.
