How to Create an Egg Shaped Easter Book

Easter is a time for making memories with your children. If you would like to take it a step further, it can also be a time to create a treasure for your children that they will be able to pass down to their own children. With this treasure, they will have troves of memories to share. One such treasure that you might create is a storybook for your child. To make it even more endearing, print the story in an egg shaped book that you have made yourself. In this day and age of printers and scanners, it is too easy to take the hand out of handmade. Hand-make this lovely egg shaped Easter storybook for your little one.

Supplies

white construction paper
scissors
glue
magazine pictures or personal photos
ribbon or twine
clear contact paper

Instructions

1. Cut egg shapes from the white construction paper. Size them as small or large as you wish.

2. Write a story on the egg shaped pages. Use only one or two lines per page. You can use your home printer if you like, but your own handwriting will make it even more personal and special to your loved ones.

3. Glue pictures that you have found in magazines that correspond to your story line onto the pages. Even better, glue on family photos!

4. Once the glue and ink have dried, cover the pages of your Easter book with contact paper or use a laminating machine.

5. Gather the egg shaped pages together in the correct order. Make sure that you have a cover page. Use a hole punch to make two holes in the book.

6. Cut a length of ribbon or twine and lace it through the holes, tying it securely.
