As we walk around the wilderness, the light peaks out from behind the trees and treats us to glimpses of this wonderland! It is the Lunar Jaguar Spa, a chance to experience nature the way it was meant to be experienced! The owners promised to preserve the setting as though the spa was undiscovered. Without cutting down the trees, the geo-thermal Hot Springs Park and Natural Spa was built around them. It is wild yet ready for you. In 29 years, I have never seen any spa like this!
We feel like Adam and Eve awakening to a new world. Back in early times people went into the jungles and forests to bathe in natural rivers. The Lunar Jaguar Hot Springs Park allows you to come into this special place to enjoy the hot natural spring pools scattered throughout the park. The guide leads the way around the meandering paths and stone steps as he tells the story of the park. As you walk down the path, the hot pools are hidden from view. You turn and a hot pool suddenly appears. Large stones encircle the steaming hot pool and we climb in. The warm water is 85 degrees and feels so good, so soothing. Just a time in the warmth then relax by the pool or see what else the park has to offer. This is a place to revitalize your body and clear your mind.
One set of pools was divided into a hot and cold side. First you sit in the cold pool to promote your endorphins and help circulation. It is so refreshing! Change to the warm side to relax your muscles and release the tension in your body. Each hot pool is different, each is a new experience. Take your time and stop whenever you wish. Relax, then look for the next breathtaking scene. The forest is open for you to explore.
One of the surprises, as you ascend the mountain look up at a magical scene. A Caribbean- style hut sits on the top of a hill surrounded by trees with a steaming hot springs waterfall flowing down into a lake. When you arrange for a massage in this hut, look at the view, listen to the birds and become lulled into a wonderfully calm feeling.
I enjoyed the freedom of spending hours in the park while continuing at our own pace because there is so much to see. The Lunar Jagua Hot Springs Park
is even more exciting than the regular hot springs parks in other countries.
This would be a great setting for a wedding, hot springs pool party, or to go after your business meeting. If you want to take photos, the best time to visit the park is during the day before the late afternoon since the shadows darken and change the mood.
