Friday, One-One, One-One, One-One or Eleven, Eleven, Eleven or 11.11.11, Is Veteran’s Day

Thank you military service personnel of the past, present and future. Thanks go out to your beloved families and friends as well for sharing your lives with the citizens of not only the United States of America, but countries worldwide. Veteran’s Day is Friday, November 11, 2011. Say thanks. Vets, old, young, fat, thin, DAVs, male and female are everywhere. Can’t find one? Call the local VA hospital or Army recruiting office. Says thanks to each person you talk to including the operator. In advance, thanks Avery, Drew, USA Warriors Hockey, Riley, Lulu and all the friends and family who know you.

The date is odd, however. Hopefully, no computers will go viral, no asteroids will hit planet earth, and someone will win a lot of money playing the lottery as this date will probably break the bank for lotteries everywhere. Maybe a vet or someone will buy an unemployed person the winning ticket. That would be awesome!

Formally spelling out the words is more calming. Friday is not the 13th at least. Enough mirrors have broken around here to keep the black clouds hovering for several generations to come. There is a feral black cat that has lived in the neighborhood sewer for seven years which has had several dates with another monochromatic feline as many paths are being crossed where this family had taken its perpendicular route.

Number conspiracy theorists have been chomping at the bit since the end of the world did not occur on October 21, 2011 as predicted by Harold Camping. The world, as it is, was, or as anyone knew it ends with every passing moment, anyway. But, it does not just end.

So, on Friday, 11/11/11, or as it is written in England, 11/11/11, keep heads up for falling space matter, make sure your computer is safe, check your bank balance to make sure it has not been hacked, and generally, follow the rules used when Friday is the 13th.

Be happy that you will remember the date, even if forgetting all the other 364 of them is common! Just one number need be written, remembered and repeated-and it is the first one at that! (Warning, you may have to keep track of two if you choose the ‘eleven’ route.)

Oh, remember Veteran’s Day, too, and the thank you(s), words not spoken too often these days in general or to the general.
