Love at first sight was what was felt
I was intoxicated with lust and accepted the fate I was dealt
Ever long we far from the others reach
Innocence cloaked your true form a parasite, a leech
When warning came from the angels to whom I prayed
A fool I was not to listen, I ventured from the light and into the shade
With a kiss, I was powerless, I was under your spell
Then I was alone to wonder, I had arrived at the gates of hell
The wound left behind was but a scratch
The infection that I was left with, I was no match
Soon to be together we were once more
Reluctant this time I was, the wound on my heart still tender, still sore
