Colts Fans: Which Team Are You Rooting for in Super Bowl 46?

A nightmare season for the Indianapolis Colts got a little worse for their fans on Sunday when the New England Patriots and New York Giants clinched their spots for Super Bowl 46, which is to be held in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana. Only Rex Ryan is more pissed off at this Super Bowl matchup.

With a future Hall of Famer at quarterback each year, the Colts are seemingly always a threat. But when rumors began surfacing that Peyton Manning would miss the start to the regular season in the pre-season, Colts fans were worried. They had every right to be. Manning never played this year and the Colts went 2-14, as a result.

The season was rock-bottom. It could not get worse, right? Well, it might have on Sunday. The Patriots have been the Colts main rival the past decade. Could you imagine if they won it all in the Colts’ home? One has to think that there is no way the fans will want to see Brady and co. win their fourth title. On the other hand, however, the Giants may or may not be a better option since their quarterback is Peyton’s younger brother. No one is crazy enough to say that Eli is a better quarterback than Peyton if he wins another Super Bowl (something Peyton has not). However, Eli could possibly always have that over his older brother if Peyton does not win another one.

The Colts are ushering in a new era with a new general manager and a new coach. Their franchise player, Peyton Manning, may also be on his way out.

The Colts will take Andrew Luck, the most hyped quarterback prospect since Manning himself, with the number one pick in the NFL draft this April. It is not all bad in Colt land.

But, back to the question. Colts fans: which team will you be rooting for in Super Bowl 46?
