The ZR1 comes in two different trim levels. The more basic of the two is the 1ZR, which starts at $111,600 MSRP. The more expensive trim level is $121,600 MSRP, but includes much more. With this trim level you get everything included on the 1ZR plus Bluetooth for connecting cell phones to the hands free calling system, power passenger seat, Bose sound system, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with a one-year free subscription, leather interior package, power-telescoping steering column, and heated seats. Both trim levels include Brembo carbon-ceramic breaks standard and a heads up display which is a very nice feature. Personally I can’t justify the extra $10,000, because they both include the same engine with most of the same features. You can add most of the options on the 3ZR on the 1ZR and save a little money.
The Corvette ZR1 is General Motors fastest production car of all time. A Corvette ZR1 has a faster 0-60 test track time than a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder of about 0.4 seconds. The ZR1 also has more horsepower and a higher test-track top speed than a Porsche 911 GT2. With this said, the ZR1 is a very impressive car performance wise. However, the quality of the interior I found to be less than impressive. There is a lot of plastic used which makes the interior look cheaply made. For the amount of money I have definitely seen better build quality. Although, this gives the Corvette a lighter weight than most of it’s competitors. The frame is made from aluminum which is a very light metal. The curb weight of the ZR1 is 3333lbs, which is a very light weight car. The launch control on the ZR1 is very useful and helps provide maximum traction to the rear wheels.
For the price of the car, you get a very good package and a bunch of horses to back it up. This is a great car for the price tag and there isn’t really another with this amount of power for this price. It’s a very fun car to drive, but does require some skill and expertise to handle at higher speeds. This car should definitely be on your list of cars.
