TNA Presents Final Resolution

TNA has announced their card for the Final Resolution PPV which will take place this month. Final Resolution will have five Championship Matches. The five Championships that will be on the line are the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, the Knockouts Championship, the Tag Team Championships, the X-Division Championship, and the Television Championship.

The TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match will be a 30 Minute Iron Man Match. Meaning that both Superstars in the Match will compete for the entire 30 minutes. At the end of the Match whichever Superstar has scored the most victories will be the winner of the Match. This Match will feature TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode defending his Championship against Aj Styles. These two faced off last month at Turning Point with Roode picking up the victory. This time around things will not be any different. Besides Roode won the Championship on November 3rd , 2011. It would not make sense for him to lose the Championship in a little over one month. For those reasons I’m giving the victory to Roode.

The Knockouts Championship Match will feature Knockouts Champion Gail Kim defending her Championship against Mickie James. Last month at Turning Point, Gail Kim defeated Velvet Sky to become the new Knockouts Champion. As a result the Knockouts Championship has changed hands five times in the past four months. The first three changes were the following. Winter won the Championship at Hardcore Justice. Only to loss it less than a month later to Mickie James. Ten days later James lost the Championship to Winter at No Surrender. A little over a month later Winter lost the Championship to Velvet Sky at Bound For Glory. At Turning Point, I predicted Velvet Sky would win the Match. I felt the Championship did not need to change hands for the rest of the year. Even though there is a new Champion, I still feel the same way. For those reasons I’m giving the victory to Kim.

The Tag Team Championship Match will feature the Tag Team Champions Matt Morgan and Crimson defending their Championships against The Pope and Devon. Morgan and Crimson won the Tag Team Championships on November 17 th , 2011 during an episode of Impact. It would not make sense to have them lose the Championships less than a month later. Besides The Pope and Devon do not seem like a serious Tag Team Championship contenders. They are just filler opponents for Morgan and Crimson. For those reasons I’m giving the victory to Morgan and Crimson.

The X-Division Championship Match will feature the X-Division Champion Austin Aries defending his Championship against Kid Kash. Aries has been Champion since September 11, 2011. Final Resolution will mark his third month as Champion. Last year the Championship changed hands nine times. This year the Championship has only changed hands four times; Therefore, the odds are not in Aries favor. Even though the odds are against Aries he still has a great shot at picking up the victory. Aries pinned Kash last month at Turning Point. Besides that TNA seems to think highly of Aries. He has already held the Championship for more time than the previous two Champions, Brian Kendrick and Abyss. Both of those Superstars have been with the company much longer than Aries. TNA must think highly of Aries if they allowed him to surpass Kendrick’s and Abyss’ Championship reign. For those reasons I’m giving the victory to Aries.

The Television Championship Match will feature the Television Champion Robbie E. defending his Championship against Eric Young. These two faced off last month at Turning Point with Robbie E becoming the new Television Champion. Prior to Turning Point, I said Robbie E should not win the Match after being pinned by Ronnie from the Jersey Shore a few days earlier. This time around Robbie E should pick up the victory or at least remain Champion by getting disqualified. Robbie E needs to remain Champion so the Television Championship is not constantly changing hands. For those reasons I’m giving the victory to Robbie E.

Besides the five Championship Matches TNA will also have a Steel Cage Match, a Challenge Match, and a regular Match.

The Steel Cage Match will feature Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy. These two faced off last month at Turning Point with Hardy picking up three victories over Jarrett. Every Match Hardy won only lasted a few minutes; Therefore, Hardy needs to win at Final Resolution. Turning Point would seem like a waste for how many times Hardy defeated Jarrett. If they only fought once with Hardy picking up the victory than Jarrett would probably have a good chance at winning in Final Resolution. Who knows, Jarrett could still pick up the victory, but TNA should not allow that to happen. It would not make sense to have Jarrett pick up the victory after Hardy defeated three times in a short amount of time. For that reason I’m giving the victory to Jeff Hardy.

The Challenge Match will feature Rob Van Dam (RVD) and Christopher Daniels. I predicted Daniels would pick up the victory at Turning Point but it was RVD walking away with the victory. This time around I’m sticking with Daniels.

The regular Match will feature Kurt Angle and James Storm. If Angle is leaving for the 2012 Olympics he should lose this Match by putting Storm over. Angle does not benefit from a win if he will be gone in the next few months. For that reason I’m giving the victory to Storm.
