The west wind was blowing loudly last night,
It actually spoke to me.
The wind said winter’s coming soon,
And this is what will be.
Winter winds are very well known,
They bring both snow and ice,
The storms create a disarray,
The situation’s not very nice.
The roads are icy and snowy, too.
The snow plows do abound.
We’re shovel out our cars again,
I hope it’s my car I found.
The snow piles will be so deep,
The shovels will be needing.
I listen to the wind again,
And his words I’m heeding.
