If you are a disabled veteran, then you might be eligible to receive VA disability benefits as well as social security benefits. You might receive VA compensation or pension as well as social security disability or general social security for reaching the age of 65. You can only receive up to a certain limit set by law though. Your maximum limit can be made up of a combination of the two but you cannot receive the full limit on both of them apiece. Therefore, if you want to receive both VA disability benefits and social security benefits, you have to coordinate the two.
