Beyonce Turns 30 in a Baby Bump Bikini in Venice

Beyonce Knowles chose the Venice Film Festival to celebrate her birthday and baby bump.

Every film festival has its own personality and select crowd of movie lovers. The Sundance Film Festival is all about well-connected people who still want to maintain some semblance of being “indie.” The Toronto Film Festival is for true cinefiles. The Berlin International Film Festival is the home of the auteurs. Cannes is Hollywood on the French Riviera and the Venice Film Festival takes it one step further. Venice is all about the glitz, glam, and elite.

The Venice Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world. It makes sense then that this is where one of the hottest young stars in the world would choose to celebrate her 30th birthday. If there is a Golden Lion Award for just being fabulous then Mrs. Jay-Z would be a shoo-in.

Beyonce turned 30 on September 4, 2011. It’s a busy time for the diva. As you know, the pop star who got her start in the girl group Destiny’s Child is famously with child her self. In case you somehow missed it, Bey whipped open her Dolce and Gabana jacket at the MTV VMAs to reveal a baby bump. In addition, her fourth studio album “4” is now in heavy rotation.

Forty-one year old hubbie Shawn Carter was by the singer’s side as they made the rounds in Venice. As for the birthday celebration, The Daily Mail reports that Bey and Jay celebrated on a luxury yacht. They were reportedly joined by Gwyneth Paltrow. Maybe the mom of two dropped by to share baby advice tips. Beyonce even wore a stunning, frilly two-piece white bikini to shut detractors up who were insisting that her VMA baby bump was fake. The hot mama-to-be was back to a long, curly look for the trip. She also reportedly dined at one of the best restaurants in the area with her husband.

Paltrow was attending the Venice Film Festival to promote her new Steven Soderbergh-directed movie “Contagion.” The thriller about a deadly pandemic also stars Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Marion Cotillard. Auntie Gwyneth tells E! Online, “It’s always interesting when you’re a woman with success and you’ve achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid. I think that will be [Beyonce’s] experience.”

Fabulous.
