During my time living in Korea, I have noticed that Korean red ginseng extract is sold in every pharmacy and at many supermarkets as a health remedy. There are also many ways to consume ginseng in Korea, such as juices, crackers, tea, and more. In order to answer why red ginseng is such a popular health-craze in Korea, here are the health benefits.

Relieve stress and fatigue. Ginseng works as a natural adaptogen in the body. This allows the body to accommodate to stress in a natural manner. It is also said to work with the nervous system as a natural tranquilizer.

Boost mental efficiency. Ginseng contains many gensenosides that are able to boost efficiency in the brain and reduce mental fatigue.

Boost libido. One of the most widely-known benefits of red ginseng is its effect on the libido. Studies have shown that the nutrients in ginseng increase testosterone levels and allow more blood flow to male organs. Ginseng can also increase estrogen production in women, which may be very beneficial to women during menopause.
