Waiting for an invitation to a new website
Waiting anxiously for that email to arrive
Whilst I wait, my nails I bite.
Will it come sometime after five?
What is the reason for delay?
Am I good enough to gain access?
Perhaps I should offer to pay?
Or allow them my talents to assess?
I see their stuff and want to start pinning.
Begging, begging for a chance.
Wouldn’t an invite feel like winning?
Like Cinderella waiting for prince to dance.
Here it comes, my invite, now I see
