One of my favorite poetic forms is the Haiku. In this style, the typical format is a 5-7-5 syllabic structure.
Here is an example of a Haiku, based on the beautiful image of Tanzanian children laughing and playing football in a field.

Eyes filled with wonder
A rare chance to laugh and play
the future is bright
