Leadership/Basics: Elements Rules of Society, Planned Participation

Imagine yourself suddenly dropped into a world you know nothing of. The very thought of not understanding even the survival basics would be overwhelming to most. But no matter how alien it would be to you, you might seem just as alien to those around. They are part this society, living there and existing together they could offer help. Getting them to understand you need aid and what your needs would be could be just a hard as getting them to offer aid. Communication alone could be difficult enough, expressing your needs in a manner that is both understandable and acceptable to those around would prove hard. But this does happen every day as new babies are born, dropped into our world without an understanding or concept of how to gain aid. Every society, group or multitude of people has a set of rules to generate acceptable behavior from its membership. Breaking the rules of society is a taboo no society can easily forgive. Understanding these rules in one thing, but controlling such is never easy. It shows the real courage and understanding one has inside to obey all the rules, only the few, the exceptional can go beyond society.

Our world is divided by many means; each forms a human society of its own. To allow progress we must interact with each other in such manners our intentions are understood as we present them. This is method of communication goes far beyond writing or speaking methods. Communications of this sort allows individuals to gain acceptance by those in the society, allowing one to get past the filters we’ve all put in place to protect ourselves. Yet at the same time we can not offend those others, this would make them concerned about threatening behavior we seem to show. We must customize our behavior to fit society customs and exist within it perceived boundaries.

Society’s customs exist to distinguish us from other societies, to state we are one group as a whole. But at the same time we differ per the many societies that exist in our individual lives and are still part of the mainstream society around us. Differences do not make us unequal just acceptance of different abilities or resources we offer to society. By customizing our behavior we can fit into groups, being accepted we are allowed to act as part of such. But what if the same society has rules we do not find acceptable?

Our ethics and morals are meant to guide us, taught to us from the very beginning of our lives they use them to filter all that comes into our lives. We keep them close to our hearts, to guide us and let us know the differences of right and wrong. Early warnings signs of what is happening around us and the effects these changes will have. Being true to yourself involves listening to these early warning signs and using them to guide you. Not accepting society’s rules because you will not sell yourself out shows the great fortitude you have to offer others. To make a stand as such against all others in that society simply to keep with what you have been taught is to come to terms and harmony with who you are. Society’s rules were created and are recreated by the multitude of inputs each individual presents to it. There is no prove they are completely correct, some humans realize we make mistakes then have to make changes as well. It does mean all of society will fight to keep you convinced you are wrong, to prove themselves over you. But if you are proven right, show this to others and yourself willingly.

You have reached beyond the level and norms of this society’s grasps, it is still held back by the same means that was fighting you. This place you now exist within is filled with wonder; it will leap upon you and take you to places unimagined before. Be careful of this as you are still part of the society so long as you exist in the reality of this world. And the society has already perceived you as threatening to that society. Those who have authority over this society will indeed not allow for a single individual outside of the norms to prove they are wrong.

Remember this, change does not occur from within but from without. Those having authority gained such by the willingness of the mainstream of society; to find these same are wrong is to say that entire society is wrong. The shear feeling of utter guilt and responsibility this society would have to endure, would likely break it to pieces unless it is given time to adjust. The sudden shift of authority from the mainstream to the fringe would not be accepted easily. To show a single individual is correct and all of society is wrong has happened; it has always destroyed the entire society. Times there are violence but many times in peaceful means to rebuild stronger and more secure societies than before.

Our societies are built by humans, as humans we know and tend to make mistakes. Convincing others there has been a mistake, the rules of society are already broken is not easily. But at times this must be done, society must be guided by those with the greatest fortitude to set it straight and still protect it in the process. Authority figures are not always the ones they seem to be, but challenging them will be seen as a threat. All of society must come understand they are the threat and change is going to happen. It would be better then for society to follow your example and let the authority figures fall away. This is evolution as it happens, the world watching but how many can grasp the new customizations can not be predicted.
