Age Versus Youth

The South was where our vacation was
The weather was sunny, warm, and dry.
It seemed like we were in the Land of Oz
But too many old eyes were open to pry.

The Children would play, being loud and merry
The Old Folk would cringe, scream, and wail
The Geriatrics needed a wine of sweet berry
Or to find a vessel with the need to set sail.

In the land of sun and antiques,
The Young are jilted and spurned
The Ancients need to turn the other cheeks
Before they rent their homes and the keys are turned.

It is better to be nice and kind
And allow everyone to relax and unwind.
