A short story, novelette or novella is often the right fit for a busy schedule. If you need to fill a few minutes while waiting in line or before falling asleep at night, a piece of short fiction is just the ticket. Now, with many indie authors offering shorts to their readers at reduced prices, it won’t break the budget to load up a Kindle with great stories. Not only is it an excellent way to sample an author’s work, but it gives the literary palate some variety.
