A: I’m also having something similar, occasional light brown “stringy” spotting when I wipe and just today there has been a bit of orangey-red. I am trying to just relax and take it all in stride, apparently 40% of women have spotting/bleeding in their first trimester and only less than half miscarry. I had a pap test done 4 months ago, im only 20 years old, I have no std’s. Can anyone tell me what they think this could mean?

Light bleeding can and does happen to many pregnant women in the early stages, hence the implantation bleeding, which I had, but that doesn’t occur directly after sex. Cramps are also signs, but they feel like menstrual cramps and are not typically as you described either. You could take a pregnancy test in a week or so, but it sounds like something else other than pregnancy is going on. You should see a doctor.
