A: Did your doctor test you to see if it was viral or bacterial bronchitis? If not, you might not have needed the antibiotics and it wouldn’t make a difference to your recovery. Ways to help get rid of it:- drink lots of fluids- try using a expectorant to loosen the phlegm in your chest- do not take antihistamines-try sitting in the bathroom with the shower on hot, breathing in the steam produced- use a humidifier to increase the moisture content of the air- try boiling a pot of water on the stove to produce steam- rest
HOW DO I GET RID OF BRONCHITIS? IM SICK OF IT ='(?
Q: Hi, I have Bronchitis and I have had it for around 3 months – and I just can’t seem to get rid of it. I’ve been to the GPs and hospitals and had 3 rounds of antibiotics, and also 1 round of prednisolone and also many other treatments such as chiropractic procedures. I have been avoiding all types of foods that have lactose, etc (stuff that builds up mucous) for example milk. Does anybody know anything that works?Just so you know I have had chronic asthma and maybe it is triggering the illness or vice versa… please tell me how to get rid of this horrid disease as I have already missed out on half of my football season. Thanks 😐
A: 1.Get lots of rest. Stay home from school/work, and avoid exerting yourself.2.Drink lots of fluids to loosen up the mucus thatmay be in your bronchial tubes. Gatorade, V8 juice, and water are all great.3.GO to he doctor and see if you can get any antibotics. If you have any yellow mucus coming up, its important to treat your illness. Bronchitis is one of those things that WILL NOT GO AWAY ON ITS OWN! It settles in your lungs and becomes pnemonia.4.Avoid mixing medicines. If you are taking Nyquil, don’t take Mucinex. The ingredients will combine and possibly form harmful cocktails1.Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes which help you breathe.2.To treat this, you will need to get antibiotics from your primary care physician.3.For the cough and chest congestion, try an over-the-counter cough syrup such as Dimatab, Robetussen, Sudifphed or Nighquill.4.Antihistamines such as Benadryl Zyrtec and Claritin can also help.5.For treating your fever or pain, use tylenol or an Nsaid (Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug) such as Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin or Allieve.

A: is it harder to exhale than inhale? do u hear wheezing sound when you breathe? u may have asthma secondary to an acute respiratori infection. In the hospital, u need to be nebulized with salbutamol. ur breathing will improve immediately. or u may take it orally, ventolin tab. if its not asthma attack, could be acute bronchitis. amoxicillin 500 mg 3 x a day for 7 days, carbocisteine for the cough. paracetamol for fever if u have one. then again its best to go see a doctor. u may have pneumonia and the medications will vary. u cannot be diagnosed online. u really must be examined by a physician personally so that ur prescription will be appropriate also.
