Has anyone every had the their period during their first month of pregnancy?
Q: I am trying to get pregnant and my period is suppose to start 4 days from now. I would like to know if anyone has ever had their regular period (or what seems to be their period) during their first month or throughout their pregnancy. I am feeling all the symptoms of pregnancy (tiredness, frequent urination, white discharge) or what could just be my period. And how did you know if it was your period or just implantation bleeding? Should I take a pregnancy test even if I do have what seems to be my period? Please help.Thanks.
A: It’s a No and Yes answer. No, you can’t have a period. A period is when your body is releasing an unfertilized egg from your body. If you are pregnant then your body is not making any new eggs. Therefore you can not have your period.Yes, you can bleed when you are pregnant, sometimes around the time you would have had your period. This is due to your hormones being out of whack and some of the lining of your uterus will shed.Implantation bleeding would be very very light if you even got it. Most women don’t, it’s not very common. You can take a test if it will ease your mind. If there are any hormones in your system the test will show up positive.
Is it possible to have a regular period during your first month of pregnancy?
Q: My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now and we finally thought that our wishes have come true because I was getting all the symptoms of pregnancy until I got my period. My breasts have been really sore (they NEVER get that way with my period) I don’t have cramps nerly as bad as what I normally do with my period, and I have been feeling very tired and nauseous. Please help! I know that you aren’t suppposed to have your period but I thought that I have heard of people still getting them. Could I be????
A: Yes, I do believe it is possible to still have your period even if you may be pregnant. I believe the best thing that you can do if you think that you may be pregnant is to have a blood test done that will show for sure if you are or not. My mom actually had her period with me all through-out her preganacy and she didn’t find out that she was pregnant until her 5th month because of her period. Just don’t stress out about it take one day at a time and make your self an appointment with your favorite OBGYN! Good Luck!
did anyone get their period during the first month of their pregnancy?
Q: last month i was 100% sure i was pregnant because i had symptoms. i took some tests a couple of days before i was supposed to get my period and they came back negative. i got my period, but i don’t really think it was lighter than usual. anyways i continued to have the same symptoms, so i took some more tests. they all came back positive, and i didn’t get my period this month. so yes, i’m pregnant. my question is: did anyone go to the doctor, finding out you’re actually a month ahead in their pregnancy?? or in other words, did anyone get their period the first month of their pregnancy? thanks!
A: Hi there! It is fairly common to get what is thought to be a period during pregnancy. It is technically called implantation bleeding. Some women experience it throughout most if not all of their pregnancies. My sister actually hemorrhaged and then gave birth to a health baby girl 6 months later. I hope that this has been helpful to you. Congratulations and best of luck!!!!
