Many believe that the coming of December 21, 2012 will bring destruction, chaos, and the end of times while at the same time many others do not fear this date at all. This is because experts and scientists alike take the time to study a subject immensely before becoming afraid of something that they do not understand. What science has concluded on the matter is that yes, there does seem to be some kind of change happening to the world and humans alike. Changes that are occurring such as riots and rebelling against former leaders, geographical and climate changes, and change in the way the human civilization lives, thinks, and works. There have been numerous theories of how the world will come to an end in 2012 that have only been successful into striking fear into people instead of having success with supplying accountable and appropriate evidence. However, more and more experts are agreeing that the ancient Mayans may have had correct predictions but we also may have blown their prediction out of proportion.
The events of political disputes, world famine, job loss, and lack of money have arrived surprisingly fast but still just in time for 2012. These instances are all a part of the prophecy that has predicted this moment since the Era of Pisces began about 2,150 years ago. As the age of Pisces dies out a new one begins and that is the age of Aquarius. This supposedly happens every 2,150 years at the mark of every Vernal equinox. However, instead of the constellations of the zodiac coming into power in an orderly fashion they retrograde instead with Aquarius following after Pisces. Once the Vernal equinox has moved from one constellation to the other side than it becomes time for the beginning of a new Era.
The ancient Mayans believed that December 21, 2012 was the mark of new Era and that it didn’t necessarily bring on destruction and mayhem but instead knowledge and enlightenment. Many carvings belonging to the ancient Mayans show the Gods arriving from space on that day and pouring water down on human civilization. A prophecy some predict as floods, but others agree that the water isn’t depicted as gathering around on the ground but instead simply flowing onto mankind. Water through history and various cultures has always best represented the idea of knowledge. Is it possible that on December 21, 2012 the survivors of the end of times will be blessed with immense enlightenment and knowledge that will have a physical and spiritual effect and change on Earth?
It is also believed that Aquarius rules electricity, flight, democracy, computers, idealists, freedom, religion, and astrology. Other words that have been associated with Aquarius are nonconformity, humanity, and perseverance. The ancient Mayans also believed that what was currently taking place was the existence of nine hells and 13 heavens. The first of the nine hells began in 1519 when the Mayan civilization was met with destruction by the Spanish Conquistadors but the end of the nine hells and the beginning of the first heaven would happen on December 21, 2012 or in other words, the age of Aquarius. More people are beginning to agree that the dawn of a new age will not cause the end of the world but will force human civilization into a decision that will make or break human existence. That the gifts of enlightenment and knowledge will rain down upon mankind and the ‘survivors’ of this event will have a positive spiritual and physical change on this planet and for the rest of the human population.
