Another lucrative opportunity for the UFC is soon to occur when the photo shoot of UFC veteran Brittney Palmer will be featured in the March issue of Playboy magazine. She dominated the poll and was voted the 2011 Hottest Woman in the MMA Grand Prix. Brittney is no stranger to the Octagon nor is she a stranger to the entertainment and arts business. She was dancing for shows and working for modeling agencies right after high school, until she landed an opportunity with WEC and then moved on to the UFC to become a well-known and appreciated member of the MMA scene.
Her striking beauty and charming personality explain her popularity among fans and spectators. I think it is fair to expect a great outpouring from the men population to attend UFC events after they have seen our American Beauty grace Playboy magazine. One smart move on Dana White’s part is to promote and give a name and an image to the ring girls just like the fighters. They gain a wide array of fans themselves, obviously.
Brittney mysteriously left the UFC and moved from Vegas to Los Angeles to attend art school, take a break from the MMA hype, and pursue her long time dream of an art career. In the process, she has developed a clothing line featuring her artwork, selling her pieces, and making her own art masterpiece, the Brittney Palmer calendar. After Dana White sent out a random tweet asking if the fans wanted to see Brittney come back to the ring, an overwhelming response seems to have brought the young thriving artist back to the Octagon to make her rounds and she is coming back with a bang in next month’s Playboy issue. Brittney will be the third ring girl from the UFC to delve into the pages of Playboy, along with Rachelle Leah in 2008 and Arianny Celeste in 2010. Excited about her new endeavors, she expresses sincere longing for the MMA scene, inspiring her return. She has now arranged her schedule to fit her differing interests to include schooling and holding her legacy as the hottest UFC ring girl alive.
The fact is, like it or not, sex sells. I will speculate that this is also White’s motive after the recent announcement of the Rousey/Tate fight following a feuding debate over having a fight between the contenders for the beauty aspect that would be sure to lure in a crowd. But that’s my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion right?
Just as men are inspired by cut, trained, and tough athletes, women are inspired by lean, beautiful, confident, athletic women who take pride in their beauty… or vice versa. Who doesn’t want to see a perfect body; yours or someone else’s? Brittney has found ways to combine beauty, charm, intelligence, innocence, livelihood, taste, confidence, and respect into quite a unique package.
Brittney has always taken tastefully sexy pictures in past shoots and her classy calendar includes not only just sexy pictures, but a lot of her personality and art tied in, right down to using her own personal guitar and everyday shoes in the pictures. The tact and respect for her body she portrays makes her a girl you can’t help but to love and admire. Her risk-taking journey to leave the UFC and travel across several cities to pursue a dream is admirable in itself. Her success with her clothing line and calendar also tell me she is a very smart businesswoman with ambition.
Brittney tells Wednesday MMA Link Club, “I wanna make an art empire” and that she is doing by continuing her schooling, selling her art, clothing the fighters and fans with t-shirts screened with her pieces. Brittney takes the “art empire” to a whole new level by posing for Playboy. Not only is she open to expressing her inner beauty, but she has realized that her body is also indeed a work of art also.
