Three Great Do it Yourself Fabric Scarf Tutorials

Long, flowing scarves have been in fashion again for several years now, and now we are even beginning to see cowl scarves come back into style. With the cold weather quickly approaching we are sure to be seeing more, and more people wearing scarves in the coming months. Most of your really cute and trendy scarves to cost quite a bit of money, however there are several tutorials online that show you how to make your own cute and trendy fabric scarves. Here are three of my favorite do it yourself scarf tutorials.

How About Orange: DIY Freezer Paper Stencil Scarf

Jessica Jones shares a tutorial for a DIY Freezer Paper Stencil Scarf on her blog How About Orange.

I love the look and design of Jessica’s scarf, making it one of my favorite tutorials for a scarf. I think there are a ton of different ways that you can take this same technique and make a wide variety of patterned scarves. Jessica’s tutorial does a great job of telling you how to make the freezer papered stencil and painting the design onto your scarf. However it does not tell you how to make your scarf from fabric, it just simply says you will need fabric for your scarf. This is one area where you may have to turn to another tutorial or do some research to have your scarf ready for painting.
