Review of LL Bean Suede Soft Sole Slippers for Cold Winter Days

LL Bean has been my choice for slippers for the past eight years now. They are made incredibly well and LL Bean guarantees customer satisfaction. We pay a little more with their products, but they are worth it. When I charge my order on my LL Bean Visa card the shipping is free, and I definitely figure that savings into the overall value.

I’ve had the LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers with a hard sole, but when we had a baby in the home I wanted a sole that was quiet on my hard wood floors, and the LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers with the high top and suede soles were the perfect answer!

These retail for $59.99 at the time of this review, and although that may sound expensive, these slippers will last me for several years. Unlike some cheaper brands of slippers that use a synthetic sheepskin inside of the shoe, LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers are made from superior sheepskin. This shearling fills the entire inside of the slipper, from the toe to the ankle! Talk about warm, these will really keep the feet toasty on those cold winter days.

LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers are machine stitched, but they also have the suede lacing around the sole that gives the buyer an authentic moccasin look, and adds even more durability to the product. They are a very attractive slipper, and my feet actually get hot in these from time to time. I love to slip them in the morning when I get out of bed and after taking a hot shower.

When ordering the LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers I normally order a half size up. I wear a size 6 1/2 but order a size 7 slipper. The shearling lining is so plush that they feel tight for the first week or two, but then this does matt down a bit to make the slippers a perfect fit.

The holidays are not far off, and if you live in a cold climate a Christmas gift of LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers is a perfect way to say “I love you!”. My husband gave me my first pair for Christmas eight years ago, and we have both been buying them ever since.

LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers come in a low profile or the high top. The low tops have a suede tie that never seems to stay tied, so the high tops solved that problem for me. Another advantage to consider is the fact that these soft soled slippers will not leave any scuff marks on hard floors! They are a great product and I am pleased to recommend them.
