Not far from the largest port city in the world, Rotterdam, lies the beautiful nature area adored by many people; not only cyclists or hikers will be spotted here, but also the variety of outdoor sport lovers.
At the Outdoor Valley, also known as ‘ticamp’ or ‘ticano’ you can rent a bike, canoe, kayak or participate in a group adventure; survivaling and climbing ropes through the forests above the mud, will your clothes stay clean? Also for groups such as scouting there are a variety of camping options, where you and your group will stay the night sleeping in a typical tent next to the water, and will experience a day full of fun in and around the area with sports that include archery, watersports, wall/rock climbing, and of course: mountainbiking.
The trail set out in the woods is especially designed for MTB riders, it contains narrow dirt roads, astonishing descends (as Holland is a flat country where you don’t expect many hills, let alone mountains), and of course; off road climbs. There isn’t just one track you are ought to follow, there are different roads for all levels; beginners or even pros! Also the common ‘asphalt roads’ are present, where you can speed up, or just slow down a notch and rest.
The camp has a variety in rentable bikes, whether you and your twelve year old son are going to mountainbike, or your two meters tall girlfriend; there is a bike for everyone!
The Adventure Park Outdoor Valley is a great place to introduce the mountainbiking sport, the staff members are very kind and helpfull, and the track is defiant. Briefly, it is a place for mountain-likers!
