What really broke up the marriage of Kim Kardashian and husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries? Only 72 days into being married, the two announce they’re getting a divorce. The media has pounded this one hard, predicting trouble in paradise.
A source close to Kim and Kris went to TMZ and said what caused their divorce was the fact that Kardashian didn’t want to move to Minnesota, where Humphries wanted to eventually settle down. Can anyone imagine KK moving anywhere else other than Los Angeles or New York City?
Apparently Kim and Kris decided to iron out those plans after they wed, but it ended up blowing up in their face just a few short months after their highly publicized nuptials. The NBA player supposedly believed the reality star was in agreement to move with him to Minnesota, but she wasn’t. Other sources say Kardashian wants to be near her family in LA.
Needless to say, this is one of the shortest marriages to hit Hollywood in a while. Kim Kardashian was eager to make her wedding to Kris Humphries rival that of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Royal Wedding. One of the main problems is she didn’t know Kris that long and they certainly didn’t date for eight years! Kim made it publicly known last year that she was going to enjoy the single life and not allow a serious relationship get in the way of her professional and personal life. Moving away from LA or New York is not something Kim would do easily and any man she’s linked with in the future should be fully aware of that.
Is Kim Kardashian the settling down the type? She obviously dislikes the single life as much as she says she wants to give it a shot.
