Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have made the list of Teen Vogue’s 10 Most Stylish Couples in Young Hollywood, along with Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus.
Which couple is hotter? It’s a matter of personal taste.
Physical Attractiveness
Justin and Liam are both attractive in different ways. The Biebs has a sweet little boy charm that makes younger girls like Drew Ryniewicz swoon. But Liam’s is the best of both worlds. He has a very clean-cut look, but with more of an athletic rugged manly quality
Selena and Miley also appeal to different tastes. Selena has more of the elegant classic beauty, but Miley has a versatile look that can go preppy, grungy, or provocative.
Fashion Risks
Selena and Miley have both evolved their styles over the years, and have been open to change. Most recently, Justin and Selena changed their hair. Justin darkened his hair, while Selena opted for blue-tinted locks.
Miley has never been one to push the envelope, but she’s also thrown in some stinkers over the years (such as that side-boob-exposing monstrosity she wore to the 2011 MTV VMAs). Yet in a strange way, these failed fashion risks are part of Miley’s charm. She’s one of the few celebrities who keeps it real and tells it like it is.
Fan Base Appeal
Obviously, there are female fans would resent Selena because they want Justin for themselves, but as a whole “Jelena” enjoys widespread support from fans across the world.
Meanwhile, Liam is kind of like the “Delta Goodrem” of the relationship. Some fans believe that he’s using her for her fame. The Delta analogy is also fitting because some old-school Hannah Montana fans are still rooting for a “Niley” reunion (Miley and Nick Jonas).
Potential for Longevity
Between the two couples, I think Liam and Miley have a better chance of making it in the long run.
Selena has a history of dating the most famous boys of moment. When the Jonas Brothers were hot, she was dating Nick. When “Twilight” was hot, she was dating Taylor Lautner. Will Selena stay with Justin when another golden boy comes along?
Meanwhile, for all the flack that Miley takes in the press, she and Liam have actually ridden out the rough times and the controversy. Could these two end up being one of Hollywood’s most stable couples?
