In All Honesty

You told me all about your indiscretions,
That you’re sorry and want to try again,
You want to move forward but you’re forgetting
That you’ve told me just exactly where you’ve been.

Who told you that honesty would win me over?
Who told you that the truth would set you free?
Who told you that mistakes could be forgiven?
I can tell you in all honesty it wasn’t me.

It wasn’t me who asked what you’ve been doing,
It wasn’t me who held somebody new.
It wasn’t me who decided to be honest,
It wasn’t me and I wish it wasn’t you.

In all honesty, you’re nothing but a liar,
Being truthful now just covers what you are,
Go be honest with another and see what happens,
Honesty like this won’t get you far.
