How Does This Sound: The Denver Tebows?

December 11, 2011: 8:34 left in overtime, Denver has the ball on Chicago’s 33 yard line, Tim Tebow lines up for the kick. Ball is snapped to Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow steps up, kicks, IT’S GOOD! Tim Tebow wins, the Denver Tebows have come back to win!

That’s pretty much all I hear when I hear anything about the Denver Broncos. Tim Tebow single handedly won all six games in a row. There’s no other player on the Denver roster, Willis McGahee? Who’s that? Von Miller? Never heard of him. To the media and people on the Tebow bandwagon, Tim Tebow is the only Denver player on the field. You may see 11 navy blue and orange jerseys on the field, but they’re all occupied by Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow does it all. He blocks, runs, runs routes, throws, he even catches his own passes. And I’m pretty sure he’s already got more return touchdowns than Devin Hester. There is no other person in the history of mankind who is better than Tim Tebow, according to the media and his fans. The praise that Tebow is given every week is, simply put, unheard of. I’m pretty sure every sin known has been broken to praise of Tebow.

The media has found their white whale of a story in Tim Tebow. They know they can talk about him every minute and there will be debates about him. Whether you hate him, like me, or are in love with Tebow, you will discuss your opinions of him when he’s brought up. But this time, the media has taken a step farther. Instead of letting people debate about him. They are trying to FORCE football fans, and people in general, to love him like they do. No other player in the Denver roster gets talked about at all. Sure, Matt Prater, Denver’s kicker, has win almost all of their games in this six win streak, but Tim Tebow gets all the credit. Never mind that Denver’s defense has been the reason they’ve stayed close in every game, Tim Tebow receives the credit for the win. Last Sunday, when Chicago running back, Marion Barber fumbled in overtime, Tim Tebow might as well been the one who caused the fumble. Two weeks ago when Denver cornerback, Andre Goodman intercepted the Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder, in overtime, Tim Tebow might as well been the one who got the interception.

The only praise I’m giving this week is the matchup the Denver Tebows have against the New England Patriots. The media will get to watch Denver have a mud hole stomped in them. The fans will see how the quarterback position is SUPPOSED to be played. And hopefully Tebow will be credited for Denver’s lose. Oh wait, no he won’t because Tebow never loses, according to the media.
