CEO to Induct Entrepreneur Dr. Gene Landrum into Hall of Fame

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) will present entrepreneur, author, and Hodges University Professor Emeritus Dr. Gene Landrum with the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award and induct him into the CEO Hall of Fame. Landrum will join many decorated entrepreneurs in the CEO Hall of Fame including Michael DeLazzer of Redbox, Jeff Hoffman of Priceline.com, Steve Wozniak of Apple Computers, and more.

Dr. Landrum is the featured keynote speaker of the 2011 National CEO Conference and will be recognized and awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award during the TCU vs. BYU football game at the new Cowboys Stadium. As a businessman he launched five firms with three exceeding $100 million in revenues within three years, the most noted being the Chuck E. Cheese chain of family entertainment. Dr. Landrum was the first President of Chuck E. Cheese, opening the first prototype store on May 17, 1977. He personally did the design, business planning and creative elements for the first 100 stores.

Dr. Landrum will be giving away some of his books while meeting and networking with nearly 1,100 entrepreneurial college students during the event. After years of interacting with entrepreneurial wunderkinds he did a doctoral dissertation on “Innovation – What makes the great tick.” This led to writing 18 books, many that are about psycho-biographical eminence. A role model and startup specialist, Dr. Landrum teaches graduate-level entrepreneurship and marketing courses and has spoken at the US Capital and appeared on thousands of radio and TV shows. CEO is honored to have Dr. Landrum join them at the conference and help inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Over 60 speakers and 1,100 entrepreneurial minded students from across North America will be in attendance. The National Elevator Pitch Competition hosted by CEO will also take place during the conference and will award over $6,000 in prizes.
