Angry Birds Seasons Available Free Online with Some Browsers, Seasons Expansions Hit

Everyone loves an angry bird. Now, thanks to Google Chrome’s supercharged browser, Angry birds enthusiasts can download angry birds to their PC for free and play without a hitch. In fact, Rovio is positively chock-full of updates for the venerable franchise, including a brand new update for the Seasons app that sends our intrepid birds to China to prevent the little green pigs from enjoying themselves too much at the Mooncake festival. In this update, there are an additional thirty levels to enjoy, and eight pieces of mooncake to find that unlocks a special level. Google’s Chrome browser even adds special exclusive levels to the free gameplay that aren’t available with other game formats.

After Rio, and the plush toys, and even the live-action Singapore demonstration, the expanding video-game franchise is finding its way into more than smart phones and tablets. You can play it on your PC, as well. In fact, you don’t necessarily need Google Chrome to play the free Angry Birds download. As of now, Rovio is doing everything it can to bring its popular app to practically every kind of screen imaginable. Will there be a PS3 or Wii version in the future? Only time can tell.

For now, however, Rovio is ready for its next seasonal incarnation, Angry Birds Halloween, now available as expansions for many platforms. In this seasons game, there are forty-five levels to beat, hundreds of haunted pigs and plenty of haunted-house crashin’ action. If the Halloween expansion proves popular, you can bet that it will soon be followed by an Angry Birds Thanksgiving (Who hasn’t wanted to launch a flaming turkey at a pig, after all?) and then no doubt an Angry Birds Christmas with Turtledoves more likely to dive bomb than fall in love!

It’s hard to imagine a more addictive, more crowd-pleasing game than what Rovio has already offered up for 2011. From a crowd-playable game for large audiences to further expansions and even the prospect of new birds, Rovio seems to have gotten it all wrapped up. Could the next step be revenge of the Pigs?
