About the Venue

The Egyptian Theater is a historic venue that has been a central part of Boise life since the 1920s. It was restored in the late 1990s and still retains its original charm. Those ski fans that also enjoy architecture will find the gilded proscenium in the theater’s auditorium absolutely stunning. One look around and you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported back in time to the era when going to the movies was as much about the venue as it was the film itself. The Egyptian Theater is located on 700 West Main Street. Tickets to all events held there are available for purchase online through the venue’s website.

About Erik Fisher

The 26-year-old alpine skier has been practicing his craft since he was a toddler. Although he has a lengthy competitive record, Fisher didn’t make his foray into the World Cup Circuit until 2005. He is known as “The Flying Fish” by some downhill ski fans and has had to contend with multiple injuries during his ski career, including head trauma, a blown ACL and a broken hand. Stories about him taping his poles to his broken hand in order to continue competing are legendary. His career highlights include wins at the NorAm DH and the NorAm Super G. In addition to his skiing career, Fisher owns an online business.

My family enjoys winter sports and has traveled extensively.
