Reduce and Eliminate Dark Circles Under Eyes With Apples

Are you bothered by dark circles under your eyes? Are you looking for a natural way to get rid of those dark circles? Look no further than your fruit bowl! Apples are a fantastic, gentle way to banish dark circles naturally.

Why apples? Like tea and wine, apples contain tannic acid. It is this tannic acid, also known as tannins, that can reduce and eliminate dark circles under the eyes. Apples are also rich in water soluble vitamins B and C, as well as potassium. These healthy elements of the apple nourish delicate skin, and reduce dark circles that pop up under eyes.

So how is apple used to get rid of those pesky dark circles? It is as easy as cutting a few slices of ripe apple. Place the slices under your eyes, sit back and relax for 30 minutes or so. The beauty of this technique is that you can either eat the rest of the apple, or cut several apple slices for storage in the refrigerator. Then, the next time your tired eyes need a cool treat, simply reach for a couple of chilled apple slices.

Looking for something a little more involved? You can also opt to make a paste for your eyes. To make an under eye paste, peel and core a green apple. Next, cut up the apple, and boil it until fairly soft.

Blend the softened apple until you have a thick, pasty consistency. Spread under eyes, relax for 30-45 minutes, and rinse with tepid water.

Dark circles under your eyes can happen for a lot of reasons – nutrition, nasal congestion, lack of sleep, stress, fatigue or good old fashioned genes. Whatever your reasons for dark circles, rest assured that with a little time, and a few apples, your eyes will be well on their way to being free of dark circles for good.
